About Me

Multimedia journalist, creative, communicator

Hello! My name is Jamie Korenblat. In May 2024, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with Bachelor of Science in Magazine, News & Digital Journalism along a minor in Political Science. My interests lie in multimedia journalism. I love to write, edit, interview, create podcasts and more. My degree and time at Syracuse gave me opportunities to explore all my interests, both inside and outside of the classroom.

The idea of why we are the way we are has consistently peaked my curiosity and led me to choose my degree in Journalism. I believe every person has a story, and it is just one interview away from being told. While I have experience in a variety of beats, my main interests lie in Features and Life & Style reporting. The process of sitting down with a new source and hearing their story excites me and brings me back to why I love this profession.

As a student at Syracuse, I found myself in a unique position of enjoying both the print and digital side of Journalism. This passion led me to explore a variety of internships and extracurriculars. From working as a print editor to reporting and editing at an NPR affiliate news station, I can pick up new skills quickly while working in a fast-paced environment.

I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri. Outside of journalism, my hobbies include playing tennis, exploring new cities around the world, working out, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
